Complementary and Value-Added Services

In addition to the above-mentioned core services offered by Black Mask Services, the following complementary and value added services are provided;

  • Control Room: Black Mask Trading has established a 24 hr Control Room linked to Emergency Services Management. The Control Room forms the backbone of support for security guards stationed at various sites and assist in serving as communication centre for all security operations and the coordination of all security activities. Some of the key equipment installed includes the following:
  • A PTT and Nova Base Radios with linkages to sites
  • Off-site Monitoring Screens
  • Mug-Touch Guard Patrol Monitoring System
  • Telephone and Cell Phone Communication Systems; and
  • Computer hardware and software to record and store all communications

The Control Room is manned by experienced Control Room Officers. The key role of the Control Room Officers is to provide and support a full Security Control Room Operation in a 24-hour response environment – utilising and operating all the systems within the control room, ensuring that all requests for assistance are attended to and that all electronic systems are operating to their optimum.

  • Electronic Guard/Patrol Monitoring System: Black Mask Trading deploys an electronic and online system for utilization by our security personnel for patrol services. In conjunction with the client, critical deployment points are identified along the patrol route and mapped into our electronic system. As guards patrol the premises, they clock points along their patrol route using the Mag-touch baton. These clocking points have unique ID s and are wireless and require no batteries. Clocking data is then downloaded onto a computer through the docking station connected to the computer by a USB Validation Reports can then be printed and provided to the clients as required.
  • Vehicles: Black Mask Security Services has a fleet of vehicles for the efficient execution of any assignments and daily operations. Most of our cars are branded, these are for patrol duties and deployment, and some are unmarked for private investigations. Most of our vehicles have mobile communication systems, (equipped with two-way communication radios) for effective operational management.
  • Other auxillary security systems deployed include
    • CCTV with a recording DVR at the Access Control Point of the complex
    • Two-way Communication capabilities covering the whole of South Africa.
